Answers to common questions about the WCPSS Teacher Job Fair.
If you are fully licensed, have completed your student teaching, or are eligible for a valid teaching license, join hundreds of other candidates at the Fall Teacher Job Fair. School administrators will be on site to conduct interviews and to offer contracts to selected applicants. Pre-registration is required.
Candidates are encouraged to complete and submit all components of the WCPSS application before the job fair. See the To Apply section below for more information.

This job fair is highly attended and candidates are encouraged to arrive at the site promptly. Bring multiple copies of your résumé, your Praxis test score report or your state's test scores, your teaching license, and your transcripts.

To Apply
To apply for a teaching position with the Wake County Public Schools, you must:
- Fill out the State of NC Teacher's application: http://schooljobs.dpi.state.nc.us/. Remember to choose Wake County as one of the school systems you want your application sent to.
- Download, complete and send in the WCPSS Supplemental Application Form: http://www.wcpss.net/forms/application_supplement.pdf
At The Fair
- Contracts for employment may be offered on site to select applicants.
- Licensure Specialists will provide information concerning North Carolina Licensure requirements.
- Candidates may provide résumé to administrators of schools in which they have an interest.
- Incentive information & businesses discounts will be available to candidates.
- Benefit representatives will be available at both locations to answer questions.

Salary Range Based On Years Of Experience
- BA/BS Degree Level Classroom Teacher - $34,462.00 - $61,089.40
- MA/MS Masters Degree Level Teacher - $38,072.20 - $67,493.20
- 12% increase for National Board Certification

Take the I440/Beltline to US 64 East to Knightdale. Turn left onto Old Knight Road. Go about ¼ of a mile past Forestville Road and the school will be on the left.

Forestville Road Elementary
Take the I-440/Beltline to US 64 East. Follow US 64 for approximately 8 miles to Smithfield Road (past Neuse River). Turn left onto Smithfield Road and go about 1/2 mile past Lockhart Elementary. At the intersection of Forestville and Smithfield Roads, go straight. The school is on the right.
