About Us
Academics staff is organized as elementary, middle and high school teams, and work collaboratively with school leadership representatives to support the implementation of the Common Core State Standards and NCDPI Essential Standards Curriculum.
Based upon school needs, program administrators and coordinating teachers design, schedule and provide professional development and consultative services related to the teaching-learning process. Staff share current trends and research related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment with schools through regular meetings with instructional resource teachers, department chairs, assistant principals, and principals. Additionally, Academics staff provide guidance and support in the implementation of federal, state, and local policies related to instructional programs. Department staff also provides recommendations for textbooks, software, and educational specifications for schools.
