How does the driving phase (behind-the-wheel) scheduling work and how long does it take to complete?
CategoriesDepartment |
No student will be scheduled for behind-the-wheel instruction until all 30 hours of classroom instruction have been successfully completed (classroom instruction passed) and the DMV has checked his or her eyes (this is done during the 30 hours of classroom). If an eye check is needed by a vision specialist, return all forms to:
Jordan Driving School, Inc.
3751 Junction Boulevard
Raleigh, NC 27603-3634
You cannot get your six hours of behind-the-wheel-training unless all eye check forms are completed.
Students are scheduled to drive by the classroom phase of driver education they are in. The oldest students drive first, down to the youngest, in order. The class is driven out before starting another class. For example: The June class drives before the July class.
Each student can drive a maximum of two hours per day. Each behind-the-wheel instructor sets his/her own driving schedule and will call the student to set up a time for driving. The student should receive a total of six hours behind the wheel. Make sure you know your instructor's name (ask when he/she calls) and the time and place your parent is to pick you up after each driving session.
