Curriculum: Traditional

Traditional curriculum schools offer students high quality instruction, opportunities for advanced studies, creative exploration and extra-curricular activities in a nurturing educational setting. Some of the highest-performing schools in Wake County are traditional curriculum schools.

Description

Apex Middle School is a 6-8 middle school on a traditional 10 month calendar. With 93% of the students at grade level or above, Apex Middle School has been designated a School of Excellence for three consecutive years. Many of the teachers have received Tech Connect training and Quality Tools management instruction. The school will be located temporarily at Salem Middle School in Apex for one year until the facility on Moore Street in Apex is renovated. Apex Middle School is dedicated to the ideals of a community of learning.
