Our goal is to challenge students to become successful by encouraging intellectual stimulation, social interaction, and extracurricular experiences.
Academic pathways are constructed and monitored to best suit individual needs and interests. On that idea, GSHS is currently pursuing authorization from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as a means of diversifying preparation for highly motivated, college-bound students. Garner Senior High School is in the first year of implementing the International Baccalaureate programme. Students are challenged aesthetically through the variety of cultural arts electives offered at GSHS. Participation in visual and performing arts enables students to expand creatively and socially.
Garner Senior High School boasts a proud athletic tradition with strong community involvement. Our goal is to enable students to develop individual skills as well as team concepts. All Wake County competitive sports are part of our program.
