Description
Olive Chapel Elementary School is an inviting, friendly school providing successful, challenging learning experiences in an open and supportive environment. Olive Chapel serves students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. We are a traditional school with currently serving approximately 960 students. We are located in the town of Apex in Southwestern Wake County.
Olive Chapel Elementary School is a North Carolina School of Excellence. Our success is the result of the dedication and commitment of the staff, students and parents. Our academic focus encourages consistency in instruction and eliminates the gaps and repetition in learning. In addition to the N.C. standard course of study, students can explore a wide variety of learning experiences through other programs such as Core Knowledge, Thinking Maps, Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI Math), and Developmental Spelling. We encourage good character, positive self-esteem, self- discipline and strive for academic success. We are a technology leader school and all certified staff members are provided with lap top computers. We pride ourselves as a pilot center for the electronic report cards and the palm pilot classroom implementation.
We have a very active PTA with many parent volunteers who work closely with the staff to promote quality teaching and learning. We believe that students reach their highest potential when the community, staff, parents, and students work in partnership.
At Olive Chapel Elementary School our belief is “Every Child…Reaching and Achieving”.
